Week 1      (August 31 - September 6)
Estimated Fall color <1%

Sammi came into the house carrying this tiny Maple leaf on Labor Day, September 1st. Clearly fall 2003 has begun in the Finger Lakes.

Over the next 9 weeks, we will be documenting the progress of fall here in Phelps and the surrounding area.

This is week 1 of 10.

Obviously the best way to track the progress of fall is through detailed pictures. It may take a few minutes for each of these pages to load as they contain several pictures each. The three pictures below were all taken on September 4th.

The trees around Resthaven Cemetary show the first signs of fall colors

The Goldenrod is in full bloom in a field where County Road 13 meets Route 96

The Legion hall just East of Phelps is beginning to show some fall color in the surrounding trees as an accent to their well kept gardens.
