Week 2      (September 7- September 13)
Estimated Fall color 5%

At first glance most of the area trees appear untouched by the change of season.

You have to stop and look closer and you will see that even though they are still green, each tree is beginning to fade in its own way.

Here we have gotten a little closer. This shot is of Oaks Corner's Presbyterian Church.

Note how the color is beginning to show in the trees.

Chris is standing next to a "volunteer" Golden Rod plant which decided to shoot up at the edge of our parking lot. This plant towers over our 10 year old. The highest frond measures 68 inches.

Golden Rod is just one of the beautiful, fall flowering plants growing wild around the Finger Lakes.
