Week 7      (October 12 - October 18)
Estimated Fall Color: Peak

The wind blew and the rain came down in buckets and the best leaves were driven to the ground. As the week started things were looking bleak.

Fortunately not all of the trees had turned and the remaining green leaves held on tight.

With the skies gray, drab and dreary it is still exciting to find vibrant color. This yard just East of old Unionville shows the best of peak season. A few trees with no remaining leaves, a few still with green leaves and the remainder in full color.

Fall in the Finger Lakes is constantly changing. As the week progressed the weather became beautiful. Crisp, sunny days accented the return of color to the area.

You can find color just about everywhere you look. This shot was taken at the entrance ramp to I90 at Manchester.
