Week 9
(October 26 - November 1)
Estimated Fall Color: Past Peak
With
the poor weather last week, most of the trees have given up their foliage.
Fortunately there are enough spots protected from the wind that there is
still good viewing around the area.
Here are the Flint Creek falls in downtown Phelps
The
same falls from a slightly different angle. As you can see, some trees are
still holding onto their color.
It has been so wet that the grass is still green.
Just
to the east of us the farms are lined with trees. This tree line has decided
to go out in a blaze of glory.
The
early vivid colors of fall have left us and we are seeing the more muted
yellow, orange, maroon and brown.
