The Yorkshire Inn is a railfan's delight. Located just 1/2 mile east of Phelps, NY, our back property line is approximately mile post 57 of the Geneva to Canandaigua leg of the Finger Lakes Railway.
On an average day,
the
train goes by twice: about 10 am and 3 pm. You can feel and hear a pleasant,
quiet rumble as the train goes by. Both of our guest rooms feature a large
wall of windows looking south over the back yard and the rail line.
While The Yorkshire Inn was built in 1796, our accomodations include 21st century conveniences tastefully incorporated into colonial decor.
We understand that many potential bed and breakfast travelers are uncomfortable with the idea of sharing a bath. Each of our guest suites feature large, private baths with over-sized showers.
In room, satellite television brings you news and entertainment from around the globe.
High Speed wireless internet connections help you stay in contact. Our router can communicate with your 802.11b or 11g notebook computer. With dual access points you can connect from anywhere in the inn - including the back deck. If your laptop isn't wireless ready, the Rose Room has a 10/100 Mbps data port next to the desk or simply sign out our spare PCMCIA 11g card for the duration of your stay.
